SAAFI is multi award winning community based organisation set up by British-Somali mothers in Brent from refugee background for positive integration. Our provision includes: Providing day-to-day advice, information, and guidance. Addressing health and social inequalities faced by BAME communities in Brent, including health, education, and employment. Facilitating skills and training for employment and self-employment. Advocating for issues faced by mothers and their children, such as unemployment, health, education, housing, immigration, and benefit cuts. Organising cultural events, exhibitions, and arts to share our heritage, fostering self-esteem and confidence in our community. The overall goal of SAAFI is to set up the first ever Migrant Women’s center in Brent offering a range of training and workshops to links to other organisations and a place to meet.
