The team includes an occupational therapist, speech and language therapist, community learning disability nurses, physiotherapist, Hospital Liaison Nurse and communication officer alongside psychiatrists and psychologists which form the Learning Disability Service.
We work within the local community on Jersey to provide specialist advice to people with learning disabilities, their carers, families and the wider health and social care community. Services support people with a learning disability that may have complex behavioural, physical and mental health needs that is person centred in order to tailor specific support to individuals, families and carers.
We strive to make a difference by providing interventions to meet health and social care needs or signposting to mainstream services with considerations to any reasonable adjustments that may be required.
