Circle is a Scottish charity working at the heart of deprived communities across central Scotland. Our aim is to support the most disadvantaged children and families to improve their lives, promote their healthy development and reach their potential.
Social injustice, poverty and health inequalities are associated with families experiencing drug or alcohol addiction, imprisonment, neglect and abuse, family breakdown, involvement with care services, and physical and mental health problems. Circle works alongside the whole family, building on their strengths.
We also support other family members who are involved in the children’s lives. The project directly supports children through giving a listening ear and helping them to get to school and out of school activities. Circle currently delivers projects in Edinburgh, East & West Lothian, North & South Lanarkshire as well as a Practice and Development Project which works with universities across Scotland providing learning opportunities for Social Work students.
