About this service
TransLeeds is a support and advocacy group for transgender identifying people in Leeds and the surrounding area, as well as their families and friends. We aim to provide practical help with all stages and aspects of transition. TransLeeds is run by dedicated volunteers from the community who will always give a warm welcome to new visitors. We are able to attend appointments, offer advice, and provide one to one support for trans and gender variant people.
We currently run four in-person peer support groups:
The First Monday Group on the first Monday of every month, open to everyone.
The Non Binary Group on the second Thursday of every month.
The Trans Fem group on the third Thursday of every month.
The Trans Masc group on the fourth Wednesday of every month.
We also run a board-gaming social on the second Sunday of every month. Please visit our website for more information about our groups and events.
The groups are relaxed affairs where people get to ask any support-related questions they have and chat more generally, but for those who need help with more specific things there are also members of TransLeeds staff to talk to. Newcomers are always welcome - we don't disclose the location of our groups publicly, but if you are interested in coming along, please get in touch via email / social media and we can let you know the details.
