About this service

HSO - Herts Schools Outreach is a charity that has been set up to promote and enhance positive mental health change for children and young people. Children and young people are at the centre of what we do, and we are passionate about ensuring they can meet their full potential, whatever hurdles they might face. To date, we have supported over 634 pupils in both primary and secondary schools and this number continues to rise. We work predominantly in schools within the Hertfordshire area. HSO encourages children and young people to explore their mental health and emotional wellbeing needs. By raising their awareness, the pupils we support feel empowered to explore strategies and techniques introduced during 1:1 or small group pupil-centred sessions. We work with the pupils ensuring that they are able to implement and access these strategies both independently and with support to work towards becoming fully integrated and successful members of their school and home environments.
