About this service
The Veterans Hub is a staging post for other services to hold drop-in sessions which include, Defence Medical Welfare Services, Housing Advice, SSAFA, Dorset First Point, REACH, Irwin & Mitchell (Legal Advice), DWP, Help for Heroes, and many other services. Additionally, veterans, those still serving and their families can access an in-house counsellor, holistic therapies such as Reki and Acupuncture, and art therapy. The Hub also has a well equipped gym, allotment area, private garden and quiet room which are free to access for Veterans, those still serving and their families. Veterans can also access a shower block and laundry. Everything is wheelchair accessible.
On alternate Thursday evenings between the hours of 1800 & 2000hrs, in the café, the Hub hosts a bereavement group, and when that is not on, there is a veterans social evening.
Alongside all of this, there is a community café, open daily for brews and homemade food. Its a great place to make friends that you never knew you had!
