About this service
We provide emotional support to families where a parent is struggling with their emotional health or well-being during pregnancy and up to age 2.
The Perinatal Support Service is for pregnant women (or women with a baby up to age 2) who have, or are at risk of developing, mild to moderate mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression.
We provide support to parents by providing a dedicated trained ‘peer supporter’ from our peer support team of staff and volunteers. Your peer supporter can offer emotional support and support to access services in your local community. We also offer some short-term low level intervention, based on the Recovery Model, to help build resilience and develop self-care. We can support women throughout their pregnancy and up until their baby’s second birthday.
