About this service

Bury Peer Led Crisis Service: Bury Peer Led Crisis Service is available to anyone over the age of 18 that is struggling with their mental health. Our aim is to help support you through your crisis together. We offer pre-bookable appointments, crisis drop-in and BIG Groups all in the same location. Crisis drop-in: Crisis drop-ins are for anyone struggling, a referral isn’t needed, just come along on one of the days/times below and together we’ll help you find a way through this. If you need some reassurance or have any questions, please visit our website or call the office and someone will be keen to help.

The crisis drop-in days and times are: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 2pm-6pm Thursday and Friday 2pm-10pm

BIG groups: As well as the Peer Led Crisis Service, we have BIG peer support groups, these are run by volunteers with lived experience.

The BIG Groups are:

  • Mondays: Stronger together 6.30pm-8.30pm – A safe space to share experiences and listen and learn from others in a non-judgemental environment.

  • Tuesdays: Recovery group 6.30pm-8.30pm – Discussion group covering various topics and mental health related subjects with guest speakers

  • Thursdays: Hearing voices group (Starts 1st Feb 2024) 12.30pm-1.30pm – A support group for those hearing voices, just drop in

  • Thursdays: 2pm -3pm: Neurodiversity Group - A safe space to share neurodivergent experiences, seek support, and learn more about neurodivergence.
Formal diagnosis is not required, you are welcome to attend if you believe this group is applicable to you.

  • Fridays: BIG Social group 1pm-3pm – An open space for people to chat, have a brew and enjoy themselves. We are a very warm and welcoming service who understands mental health.
