We envision a UK where every Black individual can access affordable and culturally appropriate therapy whenever and wherever they need it.
We match Black individuals to Black culturally competent therapists to receive a series of fully funded talking therapy.
Talking therapy involves talking to a trained professional about your thoughts, feelings and behaviour and has been proven to be just as effective as medication in treating some psychological difficulties. People can benefit from talking therapy when dealing with a multitude of life experiences such as relationship problems, bereavement, redundancy or as a way of coping with a mental health diagnosis.
Our core offering is to provide a matching service between Black individuals experiencing mental health difficulties to a certified Black therapist who has been individually assigned to meet a person’s emotional, cultural and mental health needs.
The psychotherapy provided could be traditional counselling, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Psychodynamic therapy or DBT. The talking therapy required will be decided between the client and the therapist based upon an extensive assessment. Our therapists are all vetted and approved to deliver therapy using an extensive interview and screening process making sure that we attract the very best in the sector. In order to be as inclusive as possible, we aim to deliver our training via video link.
***We regret to inform you that the wait list is currently closed as we have reached our maximum capacity. We kindly ask for your patience as we diligently prepare to open the July 2024 therapy cohort. If you require support, please click on our available resources for assistance.
We encourage you to regularly check our website and social media platforms for further updates regarding the status of the waitlist. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.***
