About this service
POPS’ Farida Women’s Centre is a ‘women only’ community based space which offers a range of support, advice and activities for women at all stages of the Criminal Justice System who live in the Oldham area.
What we do:
Create a safe women only space where we can provide one-to-one support to women affected by the Criminal Justice System;
Develop self-esteem;
Provide advice, guidance and referrals for issues such as housing and accommodation, debt, employment and training opportunities;
Activities and workshops focused on communication skills, building self-esteem and resilience;
Women only job club;
Provide links to POPS’ Family Support Services;
Facilitate user forums for women and their families;
Provide access to the Probation Service and the WISER programme.
