Our mission is to support the development of children & young people in Beaminster & surrounding villages from the age 8 to 25. To provide the opportunity for young people to engage in positive activities, offering formal & informal educational opportunities & mental health support. To help young people to grow both as individuals & as members of society. To support the wider community of Beaminster to provide engagement & support activities for all ages from infant to senior citizens.
The Prout Bridge Project provides Youth Mental Health Support to children and young people. It is a referral-based service run by professionally qualified and highly experienced Mental Health Youth Workers. This involves one-to-one and group work to address a range of issues to help them increase emotional resilience.
Mental Health Youth Workers will offer support, giving children and young people the opportunity to be listened to, challenged and advocated for, so that they can recognize and manage their emotions, enabling them to make improvements in their lives.
Counselling service:
Young people can be referred through our Youth Mental Health Support Service if needed. The counsellors are members of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) or another professional association. The counselling service operates in line with the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
