About this service

Mind BLMK works across our communities to support positive mental health and wellbeing. Working closely with a range of partners, we offer a number of activities from our wellbeing centres and local venues to make a difference to the mental health and wellbeing of people in Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes, and our aim is to make sure that no-one has to face a mental health problem alone.

Services in Bedford:

  • Peer Support - Offering a safe space for people to share their own mental health experience and feel heard and support by others.*

  • Peer Mentoring - Provides 1:1 support to help people achieve a wide range of goals.*

  • Service User Network (SUN)- SUN groups are open to those with complex emotional needs, aged 18 years and over who are registered with a GP in Bedfordshire or Luton. SUN members do not need to have a formal diagnosis of ‘personality disorder’ to access the service. It is a community-based, facilitated peer support service.

  • Suicide Prevention Pathway Service - Provides support for individuals who have mental health/wellbeing needs and may have accessed medical, clinical or emergency services. Individuals will not be at immediate risk of suicide but may need support to improve their mental health and wellbeing.*

  • Supported Self-Help - Supporting people with low to moderate mental health needs. Over six weeks we’ll give you information, resources and regular phone calls to help improve how you feel.*

*These services do require a referral which can be obtained by your GP/professional. Or you can fill out a self-referral form on the Mind BLMK website by clicking ‘Access Support’.*
