Ardenleigh is a Secure Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service based in Birmingham. Ardenleigh provides accommodation and 24 hour support to both male and female young people up to the age of 18 on three wards known as Atlantic, Pacific and Adriatic. There are five beds on each ward.
Ardenleigh also offers a specialist community assessment service, know as Youth First, that provides specialist multi-disciplinary holistic assessments of young people; including advice regarding diagnosis, psychological formulation, risk assessment and recommendations for intervention, placement and care.
Ardenleigh prides itself on ensuring only the right people who will really benefit from our interventions are treated within the forensic youth service.
The service provides assessment-based short term stays through to longer stays of around two years.
The young person must be under 18 years of age at the time of referral and engaged in or at risk of offending behaviour.
