Barnet Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) offers short term intensive home treatment for people in mental health crisis who may otherwise need to be admitted to hospital.
We can do this by supporting people in their own home or other suitable accommodation when it is safe and appropriate to do so. Our team consists of psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists and support workers.
How to access this service:
External referrers (GPs, A&E doctors, police doctors, as well as service users and their carers, next of kins or relatives) can make a referral to the Barnet CRHTT. Care co-coordinators or other internal teams can also refer direct to the home treatment team who then manage all hospital admissions. All referrals are over seen by Barnet CRHTT.
The service is generally provided for people between the ages of 16-65 years. Discretion is given on people over this age being cared for depending on their individual circumstances that need crisis assessment, intervention and short term follow up care in the community.
