About this service

Sight Support West of England provides information, advice and guidance for blind and partially sighted people across Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

Our Sight Loss Advisors offer one to one support at regular community hubs. You can get guidance on managing the day to day impact of sight loss, advice on equipment and technology to make life easier, information about understanding your eye condition and sight loss registration, and support to access local services and opportunities.

Most hubs also include friendly social groups, offering the opportunity to connect with others who share similar experiences.

Additional services include a Digital Skills Support Service, monthly What’s On e-newsletter, Eye Can exhibitions showcasing technology and support, and a free audio CD library.

Support is open to blind and partially sighted people of all ages, including anyone newly diagnosed or losing their sight. A formal diagnosis is not required. Family members and carers are also welcome.
