About this service

Kinship care is when a child lives all or most of the time with a relative or friend who isn’t their parent, usually because their parents aren’t able to care for them. That relative or friend is called a kinship carer. Free expert advice from the Kinship advice team. Our free phoneline is open Monday to Friday from 9.30am through to 2pm on 0300 123 7015. We are currently experiencing a high level of enquiries. We will respond to your enquiry within 7 to 10 working days. Please note we can only advise kinship carers in England and Wales.
