Dorset Blind Association, supporting blind and partially sighted people to live happy lives. We strongly believe sight loss should not be a barrier to people living full and active lives. Through our services we aim to help people to adjust to living with sight loss, then give them the tools and support to live as independently as they choose.
Our practical services include, but are not limited to: equipment and advice, either from our centre or direct to the community; life skills and employment support; transcribing to audio and braille; sight loss training or consultancy for businesses, schools or individuals. We balance these with emotional support services such as: Community Support Workers; volunteers; social and games clubs, activities and events; and further one-to-one support for families and carers.
