About this service

Supporting women and girls who have experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives. Bradford Rape Crisis and Sexual Abuse Survivors Service is a feminist organisation run by women for women and girls. We provide support services which are free, independent and confidential. We recognise that rape and sexual abuse are gendered crimes with the majority of survivors of sexual violence being women and children, and the majority of perpetrators being men. We acknowledge the power imbalance between men and women that allows sexual abuse to happen. We also recognise that other forms of inequality play a part in sexual abuse, such as class, race, disability, sexuality and age. We support girls and young women, usually 13 years old and above, as well as adult women who have experienced any type of sexual abuse at any time in their lives i.e. very recently or some years ago. We provide a range of support including a telephone and text help line, after school groups, support sessions in schools, counselling, advocacy & support for girls and young women if you need to report abuse or someone else has already reported the abuse e.g. with the police, social services and education. **If you get through to the answer phone, please leave your name and number and we’ll call you back as soon as possible.** Alternatively you can send a text to our text-only phone requesting a call, and we’ll ring you when the line is next open. (text-only 07435 752 975)
