About this service

Tyneside and Northumberland Mind are the local branch of the mental health charity, Mind. We provide mental health services and support throughout the Tyneside and Northumberland area, alongside the five local authorities and NHS services. Across the region we offer counselling and therapy, group support, and services for those in need of specialist help, should you, or a person you know, have been impacted by crime, a recent death, the mental health issues of a loved one, in the process of seeking sanctuary, or having had experienced a recent trauma. Across Tyneside and Northumberland we help people connect, share and build resilience for a happier, healthier mind with a person-centred approach that puts you first. We are here to empower every person in need of mental health help, with a safe space, listening ear, advice, guidance and education. Would you like to speak to someone about how you are feeling? We are here, to talk, to listen, to support you with our Support Line, providing mental health and wellbeing information. Our Support Line is available for those over the age of 16 and living in Newcastle, Gateshead, or Northumberland. Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm and Saturday-Sunday 12pm-8pm. Call: 0191 477 4545 or 0330 1743 174 (Calls are charged at a local rate)
