Advice and Guidance

About this service

Moving more is good for your mental and physical health. If you’d like to be moving more but are unsure of what exercise would be best for you, you can contact us at Move More Jersey, providing a short explanation of your situation and we'll get back to you with some advice on how you could move more. You can register with us to book onto our Move More Classes – our professional Move More Instructors will give you a warm welcome and help you to take that step to improving your health and well-being! The key is to start small and slowly build up the number of minutes of activity you fit into your week. Think about when you might have some free time to do some exercise or try a new class. In addition to our Move More Classes, we also offer Move More Health Walks and a variety of cycle rides, including free HSBC Breeze Jersey cycle rides for women of all abilities. Our Move More Referral programme is a 12-week behavioural change programme aimed at supporting people who are currently inactive, have a medical condition, or are in poor health and need support to include physical activity into their everyday life. Our team of friendly Move More Referral Instructors are highly qualified and experienced exercise professionals who have been trained in Behaviour Change, Motivational Interviewing, and Exercise on Referral. This means they are well placed to recommend and prescribe safe and effective exercise for a variety of medical conditions to get you moving more. If you feel you would benefit from Move More Referral, but are not seeing a health professional, you can contact us to ask for some advice about referring yourself. For further information about Move More Jersey and how we might be able to help you become more physically active, please visit: www.movemore.je
