Welcome to Arcus – Your Nationwide LGBT+ Counselling and LGBT+ Service! At Arcus, we pride ourselves on being a nationwide LGBT+ counselling service, but our doors are open to everyone, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. We are dedicated to combating and reducing the challenges faced by LGBT+ individuals, while also striving to improve the mental health and emotional well-being of all our clients. We firmly believe that counselling is not a luxury, but a necessity. In recognition of the financial strain many face, we are committed to providing high-quality services at affordable prices. Despite the cost of living crisis, we remain steadfast in our commitment to keeping our services accessible to all who need them. Whether you identify as LGBT+ or not, Arcus is here to support you on your journey towards better mental health and well-being. Here are some of our services: Counselling Our Counselling service provides people with a safe space to be able to express their feelings. We cater for Children 8 to 18, and adults 18+ Our counselling is open to everyone regardless of whether they are LGBT+ OR NOT. We have now launched our latest initiative: the Trauma-Informed Counselling Service. Designed to provide compassionate support tailored for the LGBTQ+ community and those who are NOT LGBT+. This service offers a safe and affirming space for healing and growth. All of our sessions are provided remotely via video or phone, and our prices are very competitive. LGBT+ Awareness & Inclusion Training What is the LGBT+ community? What are the challenges facing LGBT+ members of the community? What steps can be taken, by an individual or business, to be more inclusive of LGBT+ groups? All of these questions and more will be explained and so much more in our LGBT+ Awareness & Inclusion Training course! Support for Victims of Hate Crime Helpful advice and support to find out what a Hate Crime is, how to report hate crime, and sources of support. There are also some useful anti-hate crime tools you can use. These can help us and the local police and Council understand the extent of hate crime and respond accordingly. Arcus LGBT+ Forum Arcus forum is a regular meeting made up of professionals who are members of and/or represent the LGBT+ community. We think it is very important for LGBT+ people to have a voice within the community and this is one of the ways that we aim to achieve this. We can, in collaboration discuss and debate current issues, with a view to achieving the best outcomes.
